ODM Academy Terms & Conditions 

Thank you for choosing ODM Academy for your music tuition. 

These Terms & Conditions form part of your agreement with ODM Academy and are designed to ensure the smooth running of lessons, fair payment for our teachers, and the continued upkeep of our Academy. 

Payment 

Lesson fees are collected via an automatic monthly subscription on the 1st of each month, in advance of the month’s tuition. 

If payment is unsuccessful, we will attempt to collect the outstanding balance. Any subscription that remains unpaid after the 5th of the month will automatically incur a £20 late payment fee, unless an alternative payment date has been agreed with ODM Academy in advance. 

ODM reserves the right to stop a student’s lessons with immediate effect where payment is not settled after reasonable attempts. 

Lesson prices 

● 30-minute lesson: £16 (inclusive of VAT) 

● 60-minute lesson: £32 (inclusive of VAT) 

Monthly subscription rates: 

● £64 per month for 30-minute lessons 

● £128 per month for 60-minute lessons 

Subscriptions are calculated across the year to provide 48 weeks of tuition, inclusive of the four weeks allocated to scheduled Academy closures: 

● 1 week at Easter (covering Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday) 

● 1 week in August (the first full week of August) 

● 2 weeks at Christmas (dates confirmed in advance) 

Attendance, Holidays & Cancellations 

Your lesson fee reserves your regular weekly lesson slot. 

If you are unable to attend a lesson for any reason, including illness, holidays, school trips, work commitments or other personal circumstances, the lesson remains chargeable. 

If you know you will be absent, we require a minimum of four weeks’ written notice.Provided this notice is received, the cost of the first two consecutive teaching weeks of absence will be deducted from the relevant monthly subscription(s). “Holidays exceeding two consecutive weeks will incur a 50% teacher wage protection fee, as your lesson slot continues to be reserved during your absence. 

Scheduled Academy closure weeks are included when calculating any continuous holiday period and remain payable, as they are already included within the annual subscription calculation. 

If your teacher is unavailable, ODM Academy will make every reasonable effort to provide a suitable cover teacher. Where a suitable cover teacher is provided, the lesson will proceed as scheduled. If you choose not to attend, the lesson is forfeited and remains payable. 

Where cover cannot be arranged, an alternative lesson, lesson credit or refund will be provided.scheduled. If you choose not to attend, the lesson is forfeited and remains payable. 

Discontinuation of Lessons 

Should you wish to discontinue lessons, we require four weeks’ written notice (equivalent to four paid lessons). Please note that your final notice period payment will be processed on the same day that notice is received. 

Notice must be submitted by email to office@odmhq.co.uk. 

Please note that cancelling your payment method, failing to attend lessons or informing your teacher directly does not constitute notice of cancellation. Lessons remain chargeable until the required written notice has been received by the ODM Academy office.

All enquiries, lesson amendments, cancellations and general correspondence must be directed through the ODM Academy office.

Please note that our telephone lines are not monitored during weekends. During these times, please contact us by email. 

Parents and students must not contact ODM Academy teachers directly by telephone, text message, email, social media or any other personal means of communication. This is a requirement of our contractual agreement with our teachers. All communication must be made through the ODM Academy office, who will communicate with teachers on your behalf. 

Acceptance 

By continuing your subscription with ODM Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions. No signature is required.
